CNC Sheet Metal Bending — Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Layer X provides ISO 9001 certified CNC press-brake bending from our Satellite, Ahmedabad facility — a complement to our in-house laser cutting service. Single-source sheet metal eliminates inter-supplier logistics: your blank goes from laser to press-brake without leaving our hands. 160-tonne press force. 3200mm maximum bend length. ±0.3° bend accuracy.
- —Enclosures and chassis requiring multi-step bend sequences and tight inside radii
- —Mounting brackets laser-cut and bent in the same order — single-source efficiency
- —Structural channels, angle sections, and C-sections for machine frames
- —Sheet metal housings for electronics requiring EMI shielding continuity at bends
- —HVAC and electrical enclosure panels for the Gujarat industrial market
- —Precision stainless steel cabinetry for food processing and pharmaceutical environments
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you offer combined laser cutting and CNC bending from Ahmedabad?
Yes. This is our most common sheet metal workflow for Gujarat and western India clients. We laser-cut blanks and bend them in the same facility under our ISO 9001 quality system — eliminating inter-supplier handling, reducing lead time, and providing a single point of contact. Both operations are included in a single quote.
What bend angle tolerance can you hold?
Our CNC press brakes hold ±0.3° on bend angle for standard steel and aluminium thicknesses. Tighter tolerances (±0.1°) are achievable for single-material, single-thickness runs with dedicated tooling — quote on request. All bent components can be inspected with a digital angle gauge and certificates supplied.
What file format do you require for CNC bending quotes?
STEP or DXF with bending callouts is preferred. A SolidWorks/CATIA flat pattern (DXF) with bend lines marked, or a 3D STEP file with bend radii noted, will give us everything needed for accurate quoting. We can also work from 2D engineering drawings (PDF) with full GD&T annotation.
What is the maximum sheet size and thickness you can bend?
Our press brake handles: maximum bend length 3200mm, maximum material thickness 12mm for mild steel (lighter grades), 8mm for stainless steel. Press force is 160 tonnes, enabling complex multi-stage bend sequences in a single setup for enclosures, chassis, and sheet metal structures.
