Spares, guards and plant models for the factories of Vapi GIDC
Vapi is in Valsad district, close to Daman, and its GIDC estate is full of dye, pigment, chemical and pharma units. Maintenance heads there lose time waiting on a small cover, guide or change part, and project teams want a plant model before they walk a client through a layout. We make those items at our single studio in Satellite, Ahmedabad, and courier them down the highway to Vapi. Nothing is made in Vapi, and we keep no office there.

What we make
Process plant layout models
A scaled model of a reactor bay, tank farm or ETP layout, so owners and safety teams can discuss pipe routes and clearances on a table before site work.
Machine guards and covers
Acrylic and sheet-metal guards cut for a dye mixing or milling line, plus printed handles and cable covers where a plastic part is safe to use.
Pharma change parts and guides
Star wheels, guide rails and trays for filling and packing lines in the API and formulation units of the estate. Material choice is confirmed against your product.
Sample holders and lab racks
Custom racks and holders for QC labs, printed in a material chosen for the solvents you actually use.
Dealer demonstration models
A miniature of a mixer, pump or filter so a supplier can show a Vapi buyer how a system flows without hauling the real machine.

How it works
Describe the part or layout
Send the drawing or a photo of the worn part, or a layout drawing for a model, plus the chemical it will meet.
Material check
An engineer reviews whether PETG, nylon or PP-type resin suits the media and temperature, and flags where a metal part is the safer option.
Build at the studio
FDM takes 3-5 days, SLS 4-6 days, SLA 2-4 days, and laser-cut acrylic 7-14 days.
Dispatch to Vapi
The order is packed and couriered, with a quote-stage note on transit time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have an office in Vapi?
No. Layer X has one studio in Satellite, Ahmedabad. Work is made there and sent to Vapi by courier, or you can collect it.
Can a printed part survive acids and solvents?
It depends on the chemical, the strength and the temperature. Tell us the media and we advise on a material, and where a printed part is not safe we say so rather than quote it.
Can you model our whole plant?
We build industrial scale models of plants and process areas with a choice of detail level, quoted per job. Share layout drawings and the scale you want.
Is Vapi too far for urgent breakdown spares?
We do not offer same-day delivery. A printed spare takes 3-6 days to build, plus courier time confirmed in your quote, so it suits planned stock better than emergencies.
Do you only serve chemical units?
No. We also work with equipment dealers, labs and students in the Vapi and Valsad area; any engineering or display job is welcome.
