Standard DMLS tolerance at Layer X is ±0.1mm for general geometry. Critical surfaces can be post-machined to achieve tolerances below ±0.05mm. Every order is inspected by CMM and a dimensional report is supplied as standard — not as an optional add-on.
Can you deliver metal 3D printed parts outside Ahmedabad and Gujarat?
Yes. Layer X ships DMLS parts across India via FedEx and DHL Blue Dart with full insurance. We also export internationally to DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms via FedEx, DHL, and Aramex to 220+ countries. Lead time for pan-India delivery is 5–7 business days from print completion.
What documentation is included with a DMLS order?
Every DMLS order from Layer X includes: material certificate (powder lot traceability), CMM dimensional inspection report, hardness test certificate (Rockwell or Vickers), and a certificate of conformance. Radiographic inspection and additional NDE are available on request for aerospace and defence contracts.
