What injection moulding materials can your tooling run?

H13 tool steel inserts from Layer X are qualified for: PP, ABS, PS, PETG, PA6, PA12, POM, and PPS at standard injection temperatures. High-temperature engineering polymers (PEI, PEEK) require CNC-finished cavity surfaces — available as a combined service. Aluminium 7075 inserts are suitable for PP, ABS, and PE at lower temperatures and volumes.

Are first-run injection moulded samples included?

Yes. Every injection tooling order from Layer X includes first-run injection moulded samples — typically 5–20 parts — produced in your specified material at the agreed cavity settings. First-article inspection and dimensional report are included for engineering-grade orders.
